Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri have begun filming ‘Dhadak 2’, the sequel to the 2018 hit. Photos from the sets show the duo in a college setting. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film explores class and status barriers impacting love. Initially slated for a November 2024 release, ‘Dhadak 2’ is now aiming for a 2025 debut.

Bollywood actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri have officially started work on ‘Dhadak 2’, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 hit ‘Dhadak’ starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter.

The new on-screen duo was spotted on sets, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting cinematic journey. In a few photos from the sets, Chaturvedi and Dimri are seen busy shooting their parts in what appears to be a college setting. Both actors, dressed down in jeans and tees with ID cards around their necks, were photographed while on the sets.

Off camera, the two also obliged fans with pictures. A photo doing the rounds online sees Sid rocking a curly hairdo while posing with a fan on the sets. The same fan also posed with Triptii and shared the photos for all to see. “Here comes a silent love story into your hearts coming 22 November DHADAK 2,” he captioned the post.

The ‘Dhadak’ sequel was confirmed by filmmaker Karan Johar in May when he shared a poster of Siddhant and Triptii and wrote in the caption, “This story is a little different because there was a king, there was a queen – the caste was different… The end of story.”

Directed by Shazia Iqbal, the film reportedly explores barriers of class and status stitched in the minds of societies, underscoring a narrative of love that can never be fulfilled.
The announcement of the sequel came over a year after Karan denied that his production company would be making ‘Dhadak 2’. The project, initially scheduled to release in theatres on November 22, 2024, was reportedly delayed, prompting the makers to eye a new 2025 release date.
